Grrr. Arrrrrgh.

So I mentioned that I tore out the poison ivy last week, hmm? I expected a problems, so I attempted to dress for the occasion, including gloves and plastic bags over my arms. Sadly, I still managed to get 4 very small spots of ivy rash on my right arm.

I've been dutifully applying some special ivy gel on it (calamine does nothing for me) as directed all week, and covering the spots loosely with bandaids to keep me from bumping them on stuff.

Sooooo. Guess who is apparently allergic to the adhesive they use in bandaids? And has bright red bandaid-shaped welts on her arms for three days after they get removed?? And who pretty much looks like an extra for Resident Evil? (from the right elbow on down, anyway)

And the ivy's trying to resprout. This is war.

Nothing much in the way of hilarity for the rest of the week, I'm afraid. Jacob was sick with a virus and has not been sleeping or eating well, plus he's teething again. Unfortunately, he's tried teething on me and I have a tiny bite on my shoulder that looks like the world's smallest vampire had a nosh.

We're all ready for the weekend.

You cannot win. No. You can't.

My son is allergic to that adhesive, too. I have to convince the nurse at every vaccination that the bandaids are worse for him than the needle stick.

I agree you seem to not be able to win. Poison Ivy rash, band aide rash (I get that too), and a baby bite......and now the ivy coming back. Can you get the landlord to do something about it??

So that's how they did the makeup for Resident Evil!

Oh my poor poor girl. Good. Grief! Let's hope last week was better than the previous and this week better still! (BTW...is Jacob's birthday not incredibly incredibly soon? Happy birthday in advance since I don't have it written down! I hope you're doing okay! Must be a complex time for you. xoxo)

The BoyChild is allergic to that adhesive. It only has to be on for awhile to turn into a bandaid shaped red mark. I'd try RoundUp, you can't lose with that stuff.

Hey! So I was going through my blog list and realized, um, you haven't updated in MONTHS and MONTHS. Just wondering how you, the family, and that cute boy are. Drop me a line if you get a chance! Hopefully these are delivering to your email! For some reason I no longer have it! xo

Oh man. To go well curing the ivy only to get a reaction to the band-aid? Who in the universe did you piss off? LOL I shouldn't laugh, I'm sorry, but the irony is just awful. I do hope you are feeling better soon, and that you win out on the ivy.
